Errors & limits
Common HTTP statuses and how to handle them.
| Status | Error | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| 401 | Unauthorized | The API key is invalid or revoked. Create a new key in the console. |
| 403 | Forbidden | No access to the model or group. Check your contract. |
| 429 | Too Many Requests | RPM / TPM limit reached. Retry with exponential backoff. |
| 500 | Internal Server Error | Temporary failure. Check the status page and contact us if it persists. |
Retry policy
Retry on 429 and 5xx with exponential backoff and jitter. Do not retry 401 or 403 without changing the key or contract.
